It's Colombia not Columbia!
Our Master Roaster Hamish recently visited Colombia to learn about the incredible coffee knowledge and expertise that go into growing some of the worlds best beans.
This is the first of a couple of updates about what he got up to.
Hamish met with Juan Vidal, one of two brothers running their fathers farm. Due to migration, Juan is part of only 2% of coffee farmers aged between 18-28 years old.
Hamish was put to work raking the beans in a drying bed, located above the living quarters. As it is made of concrete it hold the heat and dries the coffee efficiently but makes the house very hot.
